Website Guide for First Time Visitors On behalf of Richard Conte and the staff of Conte Collectibles, I welcome you to the Conte Collectibles Website. My name is Joe Baker and it's my privilege to be the webmaster of the site. It's my goal to make the site both informative and visually exciting. Hopefully the information on this page will help you find whatever information you're looking for in the shortest amount of time. The first page you should bookmark is the Home Page. You can get just about anywhere you need to go from this page. The Home page is designed to highlight what's new and exciting with the various lines of Conte figures. When new items are released, you'll find a notice here. When items in development are first unveiled, you should also find a notice on the Home Page. When sales or specials are announced, they should be here as well. Also, when Richard Conte puts out a new collector letter, a link will be posted on the Home page. A recent change also brings a series of links to the various lines of Conte Products to the Home page. Links to the new Online Store and to the new Action-Photo/Funpic section are also there, as well as links to the ever popular "New Releases" Page and the "Preview" Page. You can also click on the link to the Webmaster's Blog to see if any significant web updates have taken place lately. If you are a first time visitor who is unfamiliar with all that Conte Collectibles offers the Toy Soldier Collector, you probably want to just go down the column of links to the various ranges of figures and products found on the left side of the Home Page. I think you'll be amazed at the wide range of incredibly sculpted, dynamic figures you'll find. (I know I'm still amazed!) Then, go to the New Releases Page and the Preview Page to see how we keep getting better at what we do. You might want to finish up with the "Action Photos" Page. (My favorite!) Here you'll find links to series of action photos featuring dioramas of various Conte lines of products. On subsequent visits, once you're familiar with the width and breadth of our product line, I'd recommend you start with the Home Page, check for new notices, and then go to whichever of the following pages will be the most helpful. The Online Store: If you know what you want and want to place a secure order online 24 hours a day...this is the quickest way to go. The pictures of the products in the store section are smaller, but they are all linked to nice big photos. Of course, if it is during business hours and you would like to talk to one of Customer Service Representatives, the phone number to call can be found at the top of every page in the Store section. Also...if you don't have any interest in the site besides seeing what's available and ordering it, you might want to bookmark this page. The Online Store section should be less photo-intensive and therefore the pages should upload faster.
The Webmaster's Blog: On the other hand, if you enjoy all the photos, and want to see if I've hidden any new Action Photos anywhere in the website or snuck in a new Preview Photo anywhere, this is the place to find out what I've been up to. Dealers also might want to check this page as I'll let you know if I've linked different pictures of some of our products to existing links. I've noticed that many dealers use our pictures on their websites...here's where you'd find out if better pictures have become available. You'll also find some of my musings on Conte related stuff. My e-mail address is posted on this page in case you have a question or suggestion for me or perhaps have some action pictures of your own you'd like to share.
The Preview Page: One of the most common motivations to visit the Website is to see glimpses of items that are in the process of development. The Preview Page is where you'll be able to see what's coming up through the pipeline. Generally, pictures of the Prototypes are shown first, followed by pictures of Paint Masters and finally by Action Photos of the test shots of the actual products once the factory samples are available. Then comes the long wait for the proverbial "Slow Boat from China". Once the new product arrives in the warehouse, there will be a splash on the Home Page and also on the New Releases Page and also on the On Line Store Main Page. The New Releases Page: Here you'll see pictures of the newest items to become available for purchase. First views of some Action Photos will also be seen here. The Painted Metal Figures Page: Here you'll find a listing of all the painted Metal Figure sets we offer. It's a great place for dealers or retail customers to go to be sure they have the right stock numbers as they make their phone orders. The Playsets Page: Here you'll find a listing of the various playsets Conte has produced. This section is still under construction. Hopefully full treatments of all available sets similar to what I was able to put together for the Stamford Bridge playset will posted. The Plastic Figures Page: Here will be photos of all the plastic figures sets in production. This section is still in production. (There are an awful lot of figures to photograph!!!) The Action Photos/funpics Page: I believe Toy Soldiers are meant to be played with and that the best way to display them is in an Action/Diorama mode. Here you'll find links to photos of various set-ups featuring the Conte Products. Nobody does Action like Conte!
